arlong is a search engine I'm building by hand. It pulls results from multiple sources (DDG, Brave, Google, and more) and gives you clean, ad-free results.
There's no venture capital, no growth-at-all-costs mindset, no "let's harvest user data and figure out monetization later." It's just me, building something I actually want to use.
It's still growing. The index is small compared to Google, but for most everyday searches, it works pretty well. Try it and see.
I don't log your searches, build profiles, or sell anything to advertisers. Your searches stay between you and your screen.
Your search is encrypted in your browser before it ever leaves your device. No plaintext queries in URLs, logs, or browser history. AES-256-GCM encryption, end-to-end.
Every result you see is organic. No sponsored links sneaking in at the top, no "promoted" results pretending to be real answers.
There's an AI summary feature if you want it. If you don't, turn it off in settings and you'll never see it. Your choice.
Bangs for 75+ sites, image search, video search, dark mode, community blogs, and a free search API. More coming soon.
Like "best ramen in NYC" or "!a headphones" — whatever you want to find.
Without logging anything. Your query goes out anonymous and comes back with results. That's it.
Clean results, no ads, no noise. Just the stuff you were actually looking for.
